My name is Scott James Vail; I am the sole owner and President of Painted Perfection, Inc. I started this company in 2000 with one goal in mind, becoming the absolute best provider of customer service and quality in our local industry!

I run this company with a focus that comes from a detailed business plan and a clearly defined vision that I share with all of my management team. I do not feel that we can successfully accomplish this goal unless everyone is on the same page.

I have been a resident of Collier/Lee counties since 1982 and graduated both high school (Naples High) and college (Florida Gulf Coast University) here locally. Living in Southwest Florida for this long, I have witnessed first hand the growth explosion and also been subject to the absolute lack of professionalism, respect, and follow through that most service industry businesses seem to have.

Most business owners (at least the ones that have provided services in my personal home) only seem concerned about the here and now and have no concept of what the future holds for them or their business. I was raised with old fashioned values with the belief that if you contract with a homeowner to do a specific job, then you go out of your way to over deliver on that promise, no matter what it takes! (I believe in giving people more than they expect)

In the early stages of my business, there were several jobs that I lost money on, however my clients never knew about it and they were happy with the finished product. I have always had the attitude of taking care of my customers, as they will be the basis for the success of my company. So I have been passionate about delivering the best customer service possible from day one! I believe you must earn a persons trust and business, and then you must appreciate it and not take it for granted.

I have continued to consistently grow my company based on effective communication throughout the entire job process. I determine what my clients needs and expectations are before we ever step foot onto the job. Then these expectations are managed from start to finish, ensuring that the client is happy with the end result and more importantly, that they would use us again and recommend us to their family and friends in the future. We start all jobs with establishing a long term relationship in mind.

As a business owner, I pride myself on learning quickly! I learned early on that I could not make money by being the lowest priced contractor on every job. I now do not concentrate on being the “cheapest” only the best! I also understand that both my company and our client need to feel that they are mutually benefiting from our relationship and each walks away feeling that they received something of value from it.

My company maintains all necessary insurances (liability, auto, workers comp) both for our safety and the benefit of our clients. We use only the best products and materials that are available, simply due to the fact that we write a 2-year warranty on all of interior painting work and wish to do so with confidence. My thought is “If a company does not provide written warranties up front, how confident are they in their own work?”
           
I also believe in taking good care of my employees (I would not be successful without them) so we provide paid vacations, medical benefits as well as a 401K plan. And as a result we have happy, productive, professional people who work with a sense of pride as well as a back log of qualified people waiting for a position to become available in our company.

As an employee, I was always the most productive where I felt the most appreciated, so I work hard to create that culture here in my own company and to treat all of my employees with respect.
