warrantiesPainted Perfection, Inc. knows that by providing you with the highest quality service and running a professional operated business with the proper protections you need, that we usually will not be the least expensive quote that you receive. We do have the confidence that we will be however, the absolute best.

In the event that you choose not to utilize Painted Perfection Incorporated as your professional painting contractor, you should always address these following items with your chosen contractor to ensure that you are hiring a true professional and avoiding costly problems or complications on your job.

  1. Licensing- always ask for a current copy of their painting contractors license. (A handyman license cannot paint houses by Collier and Lee county law). They must have a painting license.
  2. Insurance- Ask for a current certificate of liability insurance. Protect yourself, (over 80% of all painting contractors carry only the state minimum requirement of $300 thousand, we carry $2 million). Check policy dates and follow up with insurance companies.
  3. Auto Insurance- Are the company owned vehicles insured? What happens in the event that a company vehicle damages your property? We insure both company and employee owned vehicles that are on the jobsite, again providing our customers with an unmatched protection.
  4. Workers Compensation- Ask for a certificate of compensation, if they are injured on the job, your homeowners insurance may be liable.
  5. References- phone & confirm several current customer references. Can they deliver on their promises of timeliness, quality and excellence? Painted Perfection, Inc. will gladly provide you with several pages of current references.
  6. Trade References- phone and check paint store references. Do they have established credit and pay on time? If a contractor insists that you purchase the paint for your home, chances are they do not have store credit. Do you want someone painting your home that does not have financial stability to finance a few hundred dollars worth of paint?
  7. Memberships- check professional trade affiliations. Better Business Bureau, local chambers, Painting & Decorating Contractors of America, etc. are they active in the community?
  8. Materials- research & question the paint and materials being used. Not all paint is created equal; do not accept construction (low) grade paint for your home. We use only the highest grade of paint available and provide you with color brochures about the products
  9. Employees- Do not settle for subcontracted labor. This is when the contractor that you hire to do the job, hires “painter” at a lower price  This is common when a company does not actually have employees. Our employees are clean-cut, uniformed, trained and non-smoking.
  10. Scope of Work- make sure the contactor provides you with a written, detailed explanation of the work being performed. This is to ensure you are getting exactly what you are paying for, and that you and the contractor see “eye to eye”.
  11. Preparation- Make sure this is covered in detail! Preparation is the most crucial part of any painting job and should not be overlooked. This needs to address items such as the use of primers, caulking, sanding, filling of nail holes, repairs of stucco or drywall, covering and taping and of course a thorough clean up (we sweep all wood and tile floors and vacuum carpets upon completion).
  12. Custom Painting- Painted Perfection, Inc. paints residential homes. That is all that our painters do, every single day. We do not labor in new construction projects or the painting of commercial buildings. We pick one thing and focus all of our efforts on being the very best that there is, period.
  13. Faux Painting- If you are having faux painting or murals done, how professional is the training and background of the person actually performing the work? Most individual faux painters are subcontractors and do not have workers compensation. Painted Perfection, Inc.’s artists are well trained with years of experience and are employees (covered by wokers compensation and liability insurances) of the company.
  14. Value- If there is a considerable difference between painting bids, chances are they are not equal. Do not be afraid to ask questions, remember that it is always more economical to hire a contractor who will do a professional job the first time, instead of paying twice to have the job “fixed” later.
  15. Warranty- does your contractor offer any written type of warranty on their work? If not, how confident are they with the work that they perform and the products they use? We provide a standard 3-year warranty on all interior work and 7-years on the exterior.
  16. Guarantee of Excellence- We will start and finish our jobs on time and we will not leave a job until you are satisfied, or we will make it right with you by a discount off of your final invoice or money back!
